How Does it Work?
As you swing FLEXI-BAR®, a vibration passes through your body. This vibration pushes and pulls the muscles out of equilibrium; a process known as the Tonic Stretch Reflex. During a Tonic Reflex Contraction signals are passed continuously from the muscles to the brain and back again, via the nervous system. These signals tell the muscles they are being pushed away from their centre and they must automatically contract to bring themselves back.
The main muscles affected are known as the body's Core Muscles and the contractions are almost continuous, making the FLEXI-BAR® a very effective workout. Also affected, are all the major muscle groups of the body including the shoulders, biceps, triceps, chest, abdominals and lower body.
Vibration Training is the future of fitness
About the muscles of the core
The core muscles are designed to maintain the spine's integrity throughout our everyday lives. Strong core muscles support the body throughout movement, whether it's simply getting out of bed or playing a competitive sport. Due to our sedentary lifestyles the core muscles often develop weaknesses and lose their ability to support the body, eventually leading to pain and chronic injuries. The deep core muscles are involuntary ( which means you can't control them ), they are notoriously difficult to target and strengthen effectively. This is why 80% of the population suffers from back pain at some stage of their lives.
Passing a vibration through the body automatically activates the deep muscles of the core in a balanced fashion, helping to quickly address any weaknesses that may be present as well as helping the body to support itself throughout any movement performed.
